As a licensed massage therapist and Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner for nearly a decade, I work with my clients to get them relief from residual pain and other systemic health issues, and have helped several of them successfully avoid surgery. I then teach them simple ways to keep their body/mind in balance to avoid future health concerns.

I’m no stranger to injury. I took some pretty hard falls as a kid, resulting in one broken nose and two trips to get stitches. Then in my early twenties, I got hit by a car as a pedestrian. I somehow managed to avoid any serious injuries, and like most people in their twenties, I thought I was indestructible. I had no idea how significantly that event would affect me from that point on.

Several years later as a newly licensed massage therapist, I found myself in a Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help seminar, learning about how energy flows through the body. And how, when that energy is blocked, pain and other imbalances can occur. I was fascinated and immediately went home to practice on my roommate, who was suffering from a terrible kidney infection causing severe back pain. After roughly twenty minutes of holding various energy points, still not really sure what I was doing, her pain went away.

That was enough to convince me, and it was only the beginning. As I began to learn more and practice on myself, I noticed all the little aches and pains I had been feeling over the last few years were starting to disappear. My anxiety decreased; I was sleeping better; and my digestion had improved. I started to make the connection between all these symptoms and my old injuries. Those traumas had created energy blockages that had been left untreated for years, all the while manifesting as physical pain and discomfort.

Ever since then I’ve been learning all I can about how energy affects the body. I don’t live a completely pain-free life. I’ll still notice little aches and pains start creeping in from time to time, but now I know how to help myself quickly clear them when they do.

My passion is to help as many people as possible get lasting relief from their pain by recovering from their old physical injuries and emotional traumas. This isn’t a process that happens overnight. It’s a healing journey that I would be honored to walk with you.
